Remove the portafilter and basket and check the openings for compacted coffee. A blocked portafilter or sieve is specifically listed as a cause of no espresso being produced. Use the supplied cleaning tool to clear blocked portafilter openings where applicable.

Fit a clean, empty portafilter and try dispensing again. If water now comes through, the problem is likely associated with the coffee, basket or restriction through the portafilter. If there is still no flow after checking the tank and priming the machine, the problem is further back in the water-delivery system.
