  • Descale the Machine

    As scale builds inside the water circuit, it restricts water flow and forces the pump to work harder.

    Engineer's Tip: If it's been several months since your last descale, complete the manufacturer's descaling programme before investigating further.

  • Check the Grinder Setting

    A grind that is too fine can slow the flow of water through the coffee puck, increasing brewing time.

    If you've recently adjusted the grinder, this may be the cause.

    Engineer's Tip: Only adjust the grinder while it is running and make one step at a time, allowing two or three coffees before assessing the result.

  • clean the Brew Unit

    Coffee oils and fine coffee particles gradually build up inside the brewing system.
