Coffee Machine leaking water

If your coffee machine is leaking water, the most common causes are worn internal seals, a blocked drip tray outlet, loose hose connections, a cracked water tank, limescale build-up causing pressure issues, or a faulty solenoid valve. Leaks may appear underneath, from the spout, or inside the machine casing.

Worn O-Rings and Seals

Over time seals compress and harden.

Cracked Hoses

Heat cycles weaken internal tubing.

Boiler or Thermoblock Gasket Failure

Empty and Refit Drip Tray

• Clean thoroughly
  
• Check for cracks
  
• Ensure seated correctly
  

Inspect Water Tank

• Remove tank
  
• Check base valve
  
• Look for hairline cracks
  

Clean the Brew Unit

• Remove if removable
  
• Rinse under warm water
  
• Allow to dry fully
  

Descale the Machine

Excess pressure from scale can cause leaks.
