Coffee machine not heating

If your coffee machine is not heating, the most common causes are a faulty thermoblock or boiler, a failed temperature sensor, a tripped thermal fuse, limescale build-up restricting water flow, or an electrical supply issue. Some machines will also display a fault code when a heating fault is detected.

Confirm Power Supply

• Check wall socket
  
• Avoid extension leads
  
• Reset machine
  

Run a Rinse Cycle

If water flows but is cold, heating system is likely at fault.

Display Errors

Many machines will show a heating-related message.

Descale the Machine

Heavy limescale can prevent proper heat transfer.
