For machines using the internal grounds drawer, empty and clean it daily. Rinse the drawer with water, wipe its compartment with a damp cloth and refit it correctly. The manual permits dishwasher cleaning of the drawer at a maximum of 60°C for stubborn contamination.

The XT4 can operate with different water supply configurations, including a mains connection or optional water canisters. On canister-equipped machines, check the fresh water level and empty the waste water canister as required. Both canisters must be emptied and cleaned daily.

If your XT4 has a milk system, complete the daily milk and brewing system cleaning programme. Pay attention to the milk tube, cleaning container and any fitted refrigerator. Milk-contact components require regular cleaning to maintain hygiene and reliable operation.

The Cafina XT4 can restrict drink dispensing when scheduled cleaning is overdue. If a cleaning reminder appears, complete the required cleaning programme. Once the cleaning process has finished successfully, normal dispensing can resume.

XT4 machines equipped with an instant powder system require additional cleaning. The mixer unit, powder chute and associated components can accumulate residue. Follow the instant system cleaning instructions and ensure cleaned components are completely dry before reassembly to prevent powder clumping.

The XT4 has cleaning functions that allow operation to continue afterwards or switch the machine off when cleaning is complete. Use the appropriate cleaning programme at the end of service rather than routinely switching off a machine that has dispensed drinks since its last cleaning cycle.
