The Philips 3200 automatically uses water to rinse its internal circuit and brew group. This water is discharged internally into the drip tray, so finding clean water in the tray after startup, shutdown or brewing does not necessarily mean the machine is leaking. Empty the tray and monitor how quickly it refills.

If water appears underneath or around the front of the Philips 3200, remove the drip tray and check its level. An overfilled tray can spill as it is pulled out or overflow while fitted. Empty it daily and whenever the red drip-tray-full indicator rises through the tray cover.

The water tank must be pushed fully into its operating position. Remove it, check that nothing is preventing it from seating correctly and then push it firmly back into place. An incorrectly seated tank can allow air into the water circuit and contribute to abnormal water behaviour.

Water collecting inside the machine or unusually large amounts reaching the drip tray can be associated with a dirty or clogged brew group. Switch the Philips 3200 off, remove the brew group through the service door and rinse it thoroughly with lukewarm water. Pay particular attention to accumulated coffee around the brewing chamber and filter screen. The troubleshooting guidance specifically lists a dirty/clogged brew group as a check when the machine appears to leak.

The Philips 3200 relies on the drip tray and its level indicator working correctly. If the machine is sitting at an angle, water can collect towards one side of the tray and overflow before the indicator gives an accurate warning. Place the machine on a solid, horizontal worktop and check that all four feet are supported.

If liquid appears at the front of the machine only when making cappuccino or another milk drink, inspect the LatteGo container. Hook the top of the milk container underneath the top of the LatteGo frame and press the bottom into place until it clicks. Incorrect assembly can cause liquid to leak from the bottom of LatteGo.
