    Meaning: The water tank is empty or not fitted correctly.

    Action: Refill the tank with fresh water and ensure it is fully seated in the machine.

  • Warning Light

    Meaning: A component requires attention.

    Check:

    • Coffee grounds container installed correctly.
    • Drip tray fitted.
    • Service door fully closed.
    • Brew group correctly positioned.
  • Flashing Warning Light

    Meaning: The brew group is missing, incorrectly fitted or blocked.

    Action: Remove the brew group, rinse it thoroughly, lubricate if required and reinstall it correctly.

  • AquaClean Indicator

    Meaning: The AquaClean filter needs activating or replacing.

    Action: Fit a new AquaClean filter and activate it through the machine menu.

  • Calc / Clean Light

    Meaning: The machine requires descaling.

    Action: Run the complete Philips descaling programme using the recommended descaling solution. The programme takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.

  • Coffee Grounds Container Light

    Meaning: The coffee grounds container is full.

    Action: Empty the container while the machine is switched on, wait at least five seconds, then refit it to reset the counter.

  • All Warning Lights Flashing

    Meaning: The machine may have trapped air, overheated or require a reset.

    Action: Switch the machine off, check the water tank, AquaClean filter, brew group and pre-ground coffee chute, then restart the machine. If the warning lights continue flashing after cooling, contact Philips support.
