What it means

The machine is preparing to brew, heating up, or reading the T DISC barcode.

What to do

• Wait for the machine to finish heating.
  
• Ensure the T DISC is inserted correctly.
  
• Check the barcode is clean and undamaged.
  
• Clean the barcode reader if the machine struggles to recognise discs.

What it means

The water tank is empty or not fitted correctly.

What to do

• Fill the tank with fresh water.
  
• Refit the tank securely.
  
• Check the float inside the tank moves freely.
  
• Ensure nothing is preventing the tank from seating properly.

What it means

The machine requires descaling.

Limescale reduces heating performance, restricts water flow and can eventually damage internal components.

What to do

• Run the complete Tassimo descaling programme.
  
• Use the official Service T DISC supplied with the machine.
  
• Complete the entire programme without interruption.
  
• Do not ignore the descale light, as brewing performance will continue to decline.

What it means

The machine has detected a problem preventing normal operation.
