FAQ's

  • Can I use vinegar to descale my coffee machine?

Many manufacturers advise against using vinegar because it may leave strong odours, be less effective against limescale than dedicated coffee machine descalers and, in some cases, affect internal seals or components. Always check your manufacturer's recommendations.

  • Why is my descale light still on after descaling?

The full descaling programme, including every rinse stage, usually needs to be completed before the machine resets the reminder. Interrupting the programme may leave the warning active.

  • Is it possible to descale too often?

Routine descaling is part of normal maintenance, but unnecessarily frequent descaling offers little benefit. The ideal schedule depends on your machine, water hardness and daily usage rather than following a fixed calendar.
