FAQ's

  • How often should I descale my Melitta Aromaboy?

Melitta recommends descaling the Aromaboy after approximately every 40 brews. Limescale builds up depending on your water hardness and can reduce heat transfer inside the machine, increasing energy consumption. Regular descaling helps protect the heating system.

  • Which descaler should I use for my Melitta Aromaboy?

Melitta recommends its Anti Calc Liquid for Filter Coffee & Aqua Machines. Follow the descaler’s dosage and dilution instructions, then fill the Aromaboy’s water tank to the MAX mark with the prepared solution. The manual does not specify a universal dose, so use the amount stated on the descaler packaging.

  • How do I rinse my Melitta Aromaboy after descaling?

Once all the descaling solution has passed through, switch the Aromaboy off immediately and allow it to cool for approximately two minutes. Empty the jug, fill the tank to MAX with fresh water and run it through completely. Switch off immediately, then repeat the rinsing process once more to complete two fresh-water rinses.
