quick tips

  • Use fresh, untreated coffee beans

Only use roasted coffee beans that have not been caramelised or coated with additives, as treated beans can damage the grinder.

  • Keep milk cold for the best foam

For consistently silky milk foam, Jura recommends milk between 4°C and 8°C. A milk cooler or insulated milk container gives the best results.

  • Set the correct water hardness during setup

Entering your local water hardness allows the Z10 to calculate maintenance intervals accurately and helps protect against limescale.

  • Use a CLARIS Smart filter

Installing the CLARIS Smart filter reduces limescale build-up, improves water quality and minimises the need for descaling.

  • Clean the milk system every day

Run the automatic milk cleaning programme after preparing milk drinks to prevent blockages and maintain excellent milk foam quality.

  • Explore Aroma Selection

The Z10 allows you to adjust coffee strength before brewing, helping you fine-tune every drink to suit your taste without changing saved recipes.

FAQ's

  • Why isn't my Jura Z10 producing good milk foam?

Poor milk foam is usually caused by dried milk residue inside the milk system or using milk that is too warm. Clean the milk system thoroughly and use chilled milk between 4°C and 8°C for the best results.

  • Can the Jura Z10 make genuine cold brew coffee?

Yes. The Z10 features Jura's dedicated Cold Brew preparation process, producing cold-extracted coffee using high-pressure extraction rather than simply pouring hot coffee over ice.

  • Why does my Jura Z10 ask for maintenance even though it still works?

The Z10 continuously monitors cleaning, filter usage and descaling intervals. Following the maintenance prompts helps protect the brewing unit, milk system and hydraulic circuit, ensuring long-term performance.
