Krups Intuition Experience+

My Coffee Machine Assist

quick tips

  • Use the Favourites menu

Save your most-used drinks with your preferred strength and cup size so you don't have to adjust settings every time. This is one of the machine's standout features.

  • Make two milk drinks together

Unlike many bean-to-cup machines, the Intuition Experience+ can prepare two milk-based drinks in one cycle, ideal when making coffee for two.

  • Adjust the coffee spout to the cup

Always lower the adjustable coffee outlet close to the rim of your cup. This helps preserve crema and reduces splashing.

  • Remove and clean the milk connector regularly

Even if you use the automatic rinse, the removable milk connector still benefits from occasional manual cleaning to prevent gradual milk build-up.

  • Don't leave beans sitting for weeks

Only fill the hopper with enough beans for the next few days to keep coffee tasting fresh and aromatic.

  • Empty the Drip Tray Before It's Full

The drip tray fills during rinsing and cleaning cycles, not just when making coffee. Empty it regularly even if the indicator has not yet risen to prevent accidental spills when removing the tray.

FAQ's

  • Can I make two cappuccinos at once?

Yes. The Intuition Experience+ supports preparing two milk recipes simultaneously, provided suitable cups are positioned beneath the coffee outlets.

  • Can I customise my drinks?

Yes. You can adjust drink size, coffee strength and save personalised recipes in the Favourites menu for quick access.

  • Why does the machine ask me to rinse the milk system every time?

This is normal. Milk residues harden quickly, so the quick rinse helps keep the milk circuit hygienic and ensures consistent frothing performance.

  • What milk works best?

Krups recommends fresh, chilled pasteurised or UHT milk. Fresh cold milk generally produces the best foam quality.

  • Can I use flavoured or oily coffee beans?

It's best not to. Oily, caramelised and flavoured beans can leave deposits inside the grinder and may lead to blockages or inconsistent grinding.

  • How to Clean the Milk System

Regular milk system cleaning is essential for consistent froth quality and good hygiene.

    After every milk drink

    1. Leave the milk system connected.
    2. Run the Quick Milk Rinse when prompted on the touchscreen.
    3. Allow the rinse programme to complete before switching the machine off.

    Regular deep cleaning

    1. Remove the milk connector from the coffee outlet.
    2. Dismantle the removable milk components.
    3. Wash each part in warm water using a suitable milk system cleaner.
    4. Clean all milk passages and connectors thoroughly.
    5. Rinse with clean water.
    6. Reassemble the milk system correctly before refitting it to the machine.

A full manual clean only takes a few minutes and helps prevent blocked milk passages, poor frothing and sour milk odours.

  • How to Adjust the Grinder

The Intuition Experience+ allows you to fine-tune the grind to suit your coffee beans and taste.

    • Only adjust the grinder while the machine is grinding coffee.
    • Turn towards a finer grind for a stronger, richer espresso with more crema.
    • Turn towards a coarser grind if coffee pours very slowly or tastes too bitter.
    • Make small adjustments and allow two or three coffees before judging the result, as the new setting takes a little time to work through the grinder.

Avoid forcing the adjustment wheel, particularly when the grinder is not operating.

  • How to Change the Water Filter

If your Intuition Experience+ is fitted with a compatible water filter, replacing it regularly helps reduce limescale and improve coffee flavour.

    1. Remove the water tank.
    2. Take out the old filter.
    3. Prepare the new filter according to its instructions.
    4. Push the new filter firmly into position in the water tank.
    5. Refill the tank with fresh cold water.
    6. Refit the tank securely.
    7. If prompted, start the filter installation or rinse programme from the machine settings to prime the filter before making coffee.

Replacing the filter at the recommended intervals helps reduce descaling frequency and protects the internal water circuit.
