  • Check Which Light Is Flashing

    Different lights indicate different issues. Identify whether it's the status, water tank, or descale indicator before starting any repairs.

  • Refill the Water Tank

    A flashing water indicator often means the reservoir is empty or not seated correctly.

    Remove the tank, refill it with fresh water, and fit it securely.

  • Clean the Barcode Reader

    If the machine flashes but won't start brewing, clean the barcode reader inside the brewing head. Dirt or coffee residue can stop the machine recognising the T DISC.

  • Complete a Full Descaling Cycle

    If the descale light is flashing or remains illuminated, run the complete descaling programme using the yellow Service T DISC and suitable descaling tablets.

  • Inspect the Brewing Head

    Open the brewing unit and remove any coffee residue or damaged T DISCs.

    Ensure the brewing head closes fully before attempting another brew.

  • Restart the Machine

    Turn the machine off, unplug it for a few minutes, then reconnect the power.

    This can clear temporary electronic faults.

  • Why does my Tassimo keep flashing after descaling?

    The descaling programme must be completed in full using the Service T DISC. If the cycle is interrupted, the descale light may remain on until the process is repeated correctly.

  • Why is my Tassimo flashing but not making coffee?

    This is commonly caused by a dirty barcode reader, a damaged T DISC, an incorrectly fitted water tank, or limescale restricting the brewing system.
