guide

guide

  1. Remove the old AquaClean filter

Take out the Xelsis water tank and remove the used filter.

  2. Prepare the replacement filter

Shake the new filter for about 5 seconds. Fully submerge it upside down in cold water for at least 30 seconds, until no more bubbles escape.

  3. Fit the filter into the tank

Press the filter onto its connection as far down as possible. Refill the tank with fresh water and return it to the machine.

  4. Open AquaClean on the touchscreen

If “Replace AquaClean filter?” appears, follow that prompt. Otherwise, tap Settings, select AquaClean, then select New.

  5. Activate the new filter

When the activation screen appears, press Start/Stop and complete the touchscreen instructions. If the Xelsis requests descaling, complete that before activating the replacement.

Engineer's Tip

A clean brew group is only part of maintaining smooth operation. Check that the mechanism moves freely and that the guide rails are correctly lubricated. Coffee residue and insufficient lubrication can increase resistance during the brewing cycle. If your Saeco Xelsis begins making unusual mechanical noises or struggles to complete brewing, inspect the brew group for accumulated residue and signs of wear before assuming an internal drive fault.
