NESPRESSO lever will not close
If the lever on your Nespresso machine will not close, the most common cause is an incorrectly inserted, damaged or incompatible capsule preventing the brewing mechanism from locking. Remove the capsule and check that it is the correct type for your machine, then inspect the capsule chamber for any used capsules, coffee grounds or debris that could be causing an obstruction. Never force the lever closed, as this can damage the capsule holder or locking mechanism. If the lever still will not close after cleaning the capsule area and trying a new compatible capsule, the machine may have a mechanical fault requiring further inspection or repair.
