Nespresso coffee machine care guides
Keep Your Nespresso Machine Clean
Regular cleaning helps your Nespresso machine continue producing great-tasting coffee while reducing the risk of common problems such as poor flow, leaks and brewing interruptions. After making coffee, empty the used capsule container, remove and rinse the drip tray, refresh the water tank with clean drinking water and wipe the coffee outlet using a soft damp cloth. Never immerse the machine or any electrical components in water.
Run the Rinse Cycle Regularly
Running the built-in rinse cycle helps flush away coffee residue from the brewing system and keeps the internal coffee path clean. With no capsule inserted, empty the capsule container and drip tray, place a container beneath the coffee outlet, lock the machine and press the coffee button three times within two seconds. Allow the automatic rinse cycle to complete before making your next drink. Performing this every week helps maintain coffee quality and supports reliable operation.
Descale Your Nespresso Machine
Limescale naturally builds up inside every coffee machine, particularly in hard water areas. When your Nespresso machine indicates that descaling is required, carry out the complete descaling procedure using the official Nespresso descaling solution. Avoid using vinegar or homemade descaling mixtures, as these can damage internal components and affect brewing performance. Regular descaling helps maintain the correct water temperature, brewing pressure and coffee flow while extending the life of your machine.
