Why won't my Nespresso capsule puncture?
The capsule may not be positioned correctly, the piercing plate could be worn, or coffee residue may be preventing the brewing head from closing fully.
Can compatible capsules cause piercing problems?
Yes. Some compatible capsules vary slightly in thickness or shape, making them more difficult for the machine to pierce. If the problem only occurs with one brand of capsule, try genuine Nespresso capsules.
Is it safe to sharpen the piercing needles?
No. The piercing assembly is precisely designed and should not be modified. Attempting to sharpen the needles can damage the brewing head and create safety risks.
