Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I descale my Saeco coffee machine?

Your Saeco coffee machine will tell you when descaling is required, based on water usage and your settings. If you use an AquaClean water filter and replace it regularly, you'll need to descale much less often. Always complete the full descaling programme using the recommended descaling solution when prompted to protect the internal water system and maintain coffee quality.

Why is my Saeco coffee machine making weak coffee?

Weak coffee is often caused by a coarse grinder setting, a brew group that needs cleaning or lubrication, or the machine still adjusting to a new type of coffee bean. Try cleaning the brew group, checking the grinder setting, and brewing a few more coffees after making any adjustment before judging the result.

Why is my Saeco coffee machine not frothing milk properly?

Poor milk frothing is usually caused by a milk system that needs cleaning. Saeco machines automatically perform a HygieSteam rinse after milk drinks, but the internal cappuccinatore should also be cleaned regularly, with a deeper milk system clean performed as recommended. Using cold fresh milk also helps produce the best foam.
