If your Krups machine produces steam but little or no foam, inspect the small air intake holes around the steam nozzle. Even a small amount of dried milk can reduce the amount of air drawn into the milk, resulting in poor-quality foam. Some Krups models include a cleaning needle specifically for clearing these openings.

Krups recommends using fresh, cold milk taken directly from the refrigerator. UHT or pasteurised milk generally produces the best results, while milk that has been left at room temperature or repeatedly warmed may produce less stable foam.
