  • Wait for the button to become steady before brewing

    Switch the Tiny on using the main button and allow it to complete its heating cycle. The current Tiny Eco takes approximately 30 seconds to heat. The machine is ready when the on/brew control reaches its normal steady-light condition. If it continues flashing rather than reaching ready, don't repeatedly try to brew. Check the water tank and the warning indication first.

  • Make sure the water tank is correctly fitted

    The current Tiny Eco has a 0.6-litre removable water tank. Keep it filled with fresh, still drinking water and make sure it is correctly seated after removal or cleaning. This is particularly important on the Tiny because tank position can directly affect operation. Older Tiny troubleshooting information specifically identifies an incorrectly fitted tank as a cause of operating problems. If the pump suddenly becomes loud or coffee stops flowing, check the tank before assuming the pump itself has failed.

  • Prime a new or emptied machine with water

    If you're setting up the machine for the first time, rinse the tank, fill it to MAX and correctly reinstall it. Switch the machine on and wait until heating has finished. Before making coffee, Lavazza instructs users to pass at least one full tank of water through the machine without a capsule installed. This fills and rinses the water circuit before the first coffee is prepared. This water-flow check is also useful diagnostically if the machine is struggling to brew.

  • Don't confuse automatic switch-off with a power fault

    The current Tiny Eco automatically switches off after approximately two minutes as part of its energy-saving operation. If you return to the machine and find the light off, switch it on normally and allow it to heat again before treating the behaviour as an electrical fault. The same control can also be held for approximately three seconds when manually switching the machine off during the applicable maintenance procedure.

  • Watch for coffee becoming slow or dripping

    Older Tiny troubleshooting documentation specifically covers coffee that comes out in drops. Listed causes include a faulty capsule, abnormal pump operation, a restricted dispensing spout/water circuit and limescale. The documented checks include replacing the capsule, listening for abnormal machine noise, cleaning the dispensing outlet and descaling. Lavazza also states that limescale can result in reduced water flow and colder coffee. That makes gradually slowing coffee flow particularly useful as an early maintenance warning.

  • Check the serial number before descaling a Tiny Eco

    Don't assume every Tiny Eco uses exactly the same descaling sequence. Lavazza currently publishes two Tiny Eco descaling procedures based on the machine's serial number. One applies to serial numbers up to 2312S031023600 and from 2312S031023701 to 2319S031047245. The other applies from 2312S031023601 to 2312S031023700 and from 2319S031047246 onward. On machines covered by the second procedure, a flashing power button indicates that descaling is required. Check the serial number underneath the machine before following a descaling sequence.

  • Why is the button flashing on my Lavazza Tiny?

    Flashing can have different meanings depending on when it occurs and which Tiny version you have. Flashing during startup can be part of the normal heating cycle; wait for the control to become steady before brewing. On applicable Tiny Eco serial-number ranges, the power button also flashes when descaling is required. Check your exact machine and serial number before interpreting persistent flashing as a fault.

  • Why is my Lavazza Tiny dispensing coffee very slowly?

    The Tiny manual specifically identifies a faulty capsule, abnormal pump operation, a restricted dispensing spout/water circuit and limescale as possible causes of coffee dispensing in drops. Try a fresh compatible capsule and check whether the pump sounds normal. If flow has deteriorated gradually, clean the dispensing area and complete the correct Tiny descaling procedure if maintenance is due.

  • Why does my Lavazza Tiny keep switching itself off?

    On the current Tiny Eco, automatic shut-off occurs after approximately two minutes. This is a normal energy-saving function rather than necessarily indicating a power fault. Switch the machine on again and allow its approximately 30-second heating cycle to finish before brewing.

  • Button doesn't work and its LED is off

    Tiny troubleshooting information identifies possible mechanical blocking. The documented reset is to disconnect the power plug for 10 seconds, reconnect it, switch the machine on and check operation again.

  • Machine switches itself off

    Approximately two-minute automatic shut-off is normal on the current Tiny Eco.

  • Capsule holder/loading area won't operate normally

    Don't force it. Check that the water tank is correctly installed and that there isn't a capsule incorrectly positioned within the loading area. Older Tiny troubleshooting information specifically associates an incorrectly fitted tank with a locked capsule-holding tray.

  • Brewing Coffee

    The Tiny is built around one-button operation. The same control handles switching the machine on/off and coffee dispensing. Fill and correctly install the water tank, switch the machine on and wait for it to finish heating. Place your cup on the cup support, lift the capsule-loading lever, insert one compatible A Modo Mio capsule and close the lever normally. Start dispensing with the main button and stop the coffee at the desired quantity. The current machine is intended for espresso and long espresso preparation.

  • Capsule System

    Use Lavazza A Modo Mio capsules or capsules specifically compatible with the A Modo Mio system. Use each capsule once only. Lavazza specifically warns against reusing capsules and against putting fingers or other objects into the capsule compartment. Used-capsule ejection is manual on the Tiny. Operate the loading mechanism normally after brewing to release the spent capsule. If the lever becomes unusually difficult to operate, don't force it.

  • Water Tank

    The current Tiny Eco has a removable 0.6-litre tank. Rinse it regularly and refill it with fresh, still drinking water. Don't fill it with milk or other liquids. When replacing the tank, make sure it is properly seated. Tank installation is worth checking whenever the machine suddenly stops drawing water or behaves unusually.

  • Cleaning

    Switch the machine off, disconnect it and allow hot components to cool before cleaning. Regularly clean the removable water tank, drip tray, cup support and capsule area. The current Tiny Eco is specified as having removable dishwasher-safe components, although the machine itself must never be immersed in water. Keep the coffee outlet clean, particularly if coffee has begun dispensing slowly or in drops.

    The current Lavazza A Modo Mio Tiny Eco measures approximately 139 mm wide × 260 mm deep × 270 mm high and weighs approximately 2.5 kg. It operates from a 220–240 V, 50–60 Hz supply, has a rated power of approximately 1450 W, a 0.6-litre removable water tank, approximately 30-second heat-up and two-minute automatic shut-off. It prepares espresso and long espresso, uses manual capsule ejection and has a 0.8 m power cable. The current version uses ABS/recycled ABS construction and has removable dishwasher-safe components. Note: specifications vary between Tiny generations. An earlier Tiny manual, for example, specifies a 0.75-litre tank, approximately 120 × 290 × 246 mm dimensions and a weight of around 2.7 kg. Use the identification label on the machine when parts or exact specifications matter.
