quick tips

  • Set the correct water hardness

Use the supplied water hardness test strip and set the machine correctly. This ensures descaling reminders appear at the right time.

  • Replace the PRO AQUA filter every 2 months

If you're using a Melitta PRO AQUA filter cartridge, replace it every two months for the best taste and reduced limescale build-up.

  • Clean the Cappuccinatore after every milk drink

Milk residue dries quickly inside the frothing system. Flush and rinse the Cappuccinatore immediately after use to maintain smooth milk foam.

  • Remove and rinse the brewing unit regularly

The removable brewing unit should be taken out and rinsed under clean water regularly to keep coffee flowing properly and reduce build-up.

  • Empty the drip tray before it becomes full

Don't wait for overflow. Empty the drip tray and coffee grounds container whenever prompted by the machine.

  • Always use fresh cold water

Refill the water tank with fresh cold tap water rather than topping up old water to maintain coffee flavour and reliable brewing.

FAQ's

  • Why is my Melitta Solo & Perfect Milk not producing good milk foam?

The Cappuccinatore, milk tube or steam outlet may contain dried milk residue. Clean all milk components immediately after use and ensure the valve is set to the milk foam position before preparing milk.

  • When should I descale my Melitta Solo & Perfect Milk?

The machine will illuminate the descaling indicator when descaling is required. This timing depends on the water hardness setting, so it's important to configure the correct hardness during setup.

  • Can I remove the brewing unit for cleaning?

Yes. The brewing unit is removable behind the right-hand service cover and should be rinsed regularly with clean water to keep the coffee system working efficiently.
