Quick Tips

Quick Tips

  • CHECK THE WATER TANK AND AQUACLEAN FILTER

If your Saeco Incanto is not dispensing coffee or water correctly, start with the water supply. Remove the tank, fill it with fresh water and refit it firmly. If an AquaClean filter is installed and water flow is poor or has stopped, remove the filter temporarily and test the machine again. A filter containing trapped air or reaching the end of its useful life can restrict flow.

  • PRIME THE WATER CIRCUIT AFTER THE TANK HAS EMPTIED

Air can enter the Incanto's water circuit if the tank runs empty or after a filter change. Refill the tank and dispense hot water to help draw water through the hydraulic circuit. If a filter has just been installed, make sure it has been prepared correctly before refitting it.

  • KEEP THE REMOVABLE BREW GROUP CLEAN

The Incanto's brew group should be removed and rinsed regularly. Switch the machine off correctly, open the service door and remove the brew group. Rinse away loose coffee residue with lukewarm water and allow it to air-dry before refitting. A dirty or stiff brew group can contribute to poor coffee delivery, unusual noises and brew-group errors.

  • CHECK THE COFFEE FUNNEL IF BEANS AREN'T FEEDING PROPERLY

Coffee residue can accumulate in the funnel between the grinder and brew group. If the grinder operates but coffee is not being brewed normally, remove the brew group and inspect the coffee funnel. Carefully loosen any compacted dry grounds. Keep water away from the grinder and bean container.

  • CLEAN THE MILK SYSTEM WHEN FROTHING DETERIORATES

If your Incanto produces weak foam, splutters or stops dispensing milk, thoroughly clean the milk system. Dried milk can obstruct the narrow milk and air passages even when the exterior looks clean. Check that all removable components are clean, correctly assembled and properly fitted before testing again.

  • ALLOW THE MACHINE TO COMPLETE ITS AUTOMATIC MAINTENANCE

Don't interrupt rinsing or descaling programmes once they are underway. The Incanto relies on these cycles to flush its internal coffee and water circuits correctly. If a descale warning appears, complete the full programme rather than simply restarting the machine to clear the message.

Fault Codes

Fault Codes

  • Error 01 – Coffee funnel blocked

The coffee funnel may be obstructed by compacted ground coffee. Switch the machine off, remove the brew group and carefully clear the funnel before restarting.

  • Error 03 – Brew group dirty or not correctly lubricated

Remove the brew group, rinse it thoroughly, allow it to dry and check that its moving components operate freely. Lubrication may be required at the specified maintenance points.

  • Error 04 – Brew group incorrectly positioned

The brew group cannot be positioned or detected correctly. Remove it if possible, close the service door without the brew group installed, switch the machine off and back on, then switch it off again before returning the brew group to its neutral position and reinstalling it.

  • Error 05 – Water circuit problem

Air may be trapped in the water circuit or the AquaClean filter may be restricting water flow. Remove the filter and test again. Re-prime the filter before refitting it where appropriate and dispense hot water to help remove trapped air.

  • Error 14 – Machine overheated

Switch the machine off and allow it to cool before restarting. If Error 14 repeatedly returns after the machine has cooled, further investigation may be required. Other PicoBaristo warnings can indicate conditions such as refill water tank, add coffee beans, insert brew group, insert grounds container, empty grounds container, close service door, insert drip tray, install the milk carafe or descale the machine. Always deal with the displayed condition before repeatedly restarting the machine.
