  • First Use

    • Rinse and clean the water tank.
    • Fill with fresh drinking water.
    • Install water tank correctly.
    • Plug machine into mains supply.
    • Ensure no capsule is fitted.
    • Close and lock the machine.
    • Press the coffee button 3 times within 2 seconds.
    • Allow the automatic rinse cycle to complete.

    Preparing Coffee

    • Fill water tank.
    • Unlock and open machine head.
    • Insert Vertuo capsule.
    • Close machine head.
    • Lock lever.
    • Place cup beneath coffee outlet.
    • Press coffee button once.
    • Wait for extraction to complete.
    • Unlock machine to automatically eject capsule.

    Stopping Extraction

    • Press the coffee button once during brewing.
    • Wait for the button light to return to steady white.

    Coffee Volume Programming

    • Insert desired capsule.
    • Close and lock machine.
    • Press and hold coffee button.
    • Release when desired volume is reached.
    • Volume is saved for that capsule size.

    Cleaning Instructions

    Monthly Cleaning

    • Empty used capsule container.
    • Empty drip tray.
    • Clean water tank.
    • Remove all used capsules.
    • Place 1 litre container beneath outlet.
    • Close and lock machine.
    • Press coffee button 3 times within 2 seconds.
    • Allow automatic cleaning cycle to complete.

    Daily Maintenance

    • Empty drip tray.
    • Empty capsule container.
    • Wipe coffee outlet.
    • Clean machine head area.
    • Refill with fresh drinking water.
  • Descaling Instructions

    Descaling removes limescale build-up and maintains brewing performance.

    When To Descale

    • Button flashes orange 3 times before turning white.
    • Machine performance decreases.
    • Coffee temperature reduces.
    • Flow rate becomes inconsistent.

    Descaling Procedure

    • Empty capsule container.
    • Fill water tank with 0.5 litres water.
    • Add Nespresso descaling solution.
    • Enter descaling mode.
    • Run descale cycle.
    • Rinse water tank.
    • Run rinse cycle.
    • Allow machine to dry before use.

    Descaling cycle duration approximately 20 minutes.
